Fragrance Scoring™ is the fragrance-strength level of your candle on a scale from 1 to 10. Great fragrances start with a score from 6-7 and regularly range up to a 10
A Score of 4-5 on the Fragrance Scoring Scale™ can generally be detected at a 2'-5' radius in a room and is considered average strength for the common "scented candle market". This score does not usually end up as a top selling candle.
A Fragrance Score™ of 6 is where the best candles on the market start to register. These fragrances can be detected completely throughout a room; however, they are naturally soft, so they tend to not overflow to other rooms. These are particularly good fragrances for spaces such as sun rooms, bathrooms and bedrooms.
Fragrances that score a 7, qualify as softer but do carry beyond the space of one room. Spiced and herbal vanillas can score between a 6 and 7 and may come close to scoring as high as an 8.
When learning about your preferred candle, always consider Fragrance Scoring™, now that you're aware of what it means. Regardless of the brand or whether or not they use a method to convey power of scent in the candle, you can simply pick up the phone or send a quick email to ask, on a scale from 1-10, which candle rates in the score level of what you prefer so each and every purchase will come just exactly and as perfectly as you expect.
